Why PGDM | GNIOT Institute of Management Studies
“Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence.”
People should not bound themself with basic knowledge and education, they should go for the higher education or you can say formaster degree to learn more and grab more knowledge. Nowadays graduation is just a first step for the career so, you should enhance your skill while mastering yourself in your choice of preference.
Now as a management graduate, I want to tell you that it doesn’t matter what was your base and from where you have completed your graduation, it is all about what you want to do and what is your choice but management is something that you experience in your day-to-day life. In management there is MBA as well as PGDM also and you must have less knowledge about PGDM. Both programs teach management skills.
Firstly, let me tell you the difference between MBA and PGDM. PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management and MBA stands for Master of Business Administration, respectively. Despite the fact that all programmes are two years long and are also given by prestigious B-schools to educate candidates for a profitable management career, there are some important similarities and contrasts between them. Candidates obtain a Diploma at the completion of PGP and PGDM programmes, whilst candidates receive a degree at the end of MBA programmes. Many students believe that a Diploma course is of lesser value than a degree course, however this is not the case.
The B-School you want to choose is up to you, your marks and upon the marks of entrance exam like CAT, MAT, etc. I want to share my experience that why you should choose PGDM.
PGDM is all about practical experience and exposure and MBA is all about theoretical knowledge. In PGDM you will have the idea about corporate sector and how to present yourself in corporate sector. You will learn the most precious thing that we have to manage in every sector, which is time. Time management is the best and precious thing that you will learn here while learning and preparing yourself for corporate.
In PGDM, the syllabus is updated from time to time helping the students in being updated with the latest concepts and principles which helps them in becoming industry-ready management professionals. PGDM programmes in India are typically a two-year full-time academic programme with an internship requirement.
In addition to this PGDM students develop different skill sets through different certification which helps them excel in their area of specialization. The nicest thing about a PGDM degree is that it can earn you a lot of money, especially if you acquire it from a reputable business school. Some PGDM graduates might earn annual packages of more than Rs 20 lakh ($27,500) even at the entry level. People in other occupations do not have access to a wage like this. One of the main reasons for fresh graduates from engineering and IT backgrounds to pursue a career in management by earning a PGDM degree is the higher pay.
In the present time when the world is growing at a rapid pace, you need to have a degree which could help you acquire a lucrative job or help you start and excel in a business, PGDM can be an option to go for.
