Internal Complaint Committee

As per the directives of the Supreme Court, and UGC GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, GIMS has constituted Internal Complaint Committee. The Committee has to conduct awareness programmes among the staff and students. The Committee aims to evolve a mechanism for the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence in the institution. The committee shall also ensure to:

  1. Implementation of the policy in letter and spirit through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up procedures.
  2. Provide an environment free of gender-based discrimination.
  3. Ensure equal access of all facilities and participation in activities of the college.
  4. Create a secure physical and social environment which will deter acts of sexual harassment.
  5. Promote a social and psychological environment that will raise awareness about sexual harassment in its various forms.

SC/ST Committee

For safeguarding the welfare and interest of SC 7 ST candidates a SC/ST Committee has been formed.

The objectives of the committee are:-

  1. To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the Reservation Policy in the Institute (if any applicable).
  2. To take necessary steps of measuring for ensuring effective implementation of the policy & programmes/schemes of the State and Central Govt. for SC-ST, if any.
  3. To ensure the Prevention of Atrocities (as defined within the meaning of this Act) on the SC, ST Staff, Faculty and Students.
  4. To ensure the equal opportunity in matters of employment/promotions subject to fulfilling Qualification, Eligibility criteria and Merits.
  5. To hear and resolve the issues/complaints if any; of such nature of Atrocity reported/complained.
  6. To conduct the inquiries on the reported & complained issues and to aid and advice the Director & the Management of the Institute in this regard for the justice and smooth functioning of the Institute.

Anti-Ragging Committee

‘Anti Ragging Committee’ of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) has been constituted to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging in unfair means or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension. It is the responsibility of every member of the committee that GIMS is a ragging free campus. Any complaint related to ragging should be reported immediately and corrective action should be undertaken.

Grievance Redressal Committee

‘Grievance Redressal Committee’ of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) is constituted:

  1. To formulate the policy to investigate and review complaints or grievances of students and faculties.
  2. To create awareness of availability of members for students and faculties to report grievances.
  3. To investigate the cause of grievances.
  4. To ensure effectual solution depending upon the gravity of the case reported.
