The placement process begins with the identification of the apt student-company fit and targeting and inviting them to the campus activities. The steps involved in the placement process are as follows:

- Aptitude tests during the beginning of the course to identify the gaps in the skills of the students.
- Various psychometric tests to identify the skill sets of the students and accordingly channelise them to the best suitable area of specialization for them.
- Career counselling by the respective clubs working in tandem with the CRC.
- Preparing the students for placements right from the moment their stint with GIMS begins through the Corporate Readiness Programme and Pre-placement module.
- Continuous mentoring by the faculty mentors and industry experts through Chanakya Talk Series(CTS) and Samreek Talk Series(STS).
- Organizing various activities like conferences, conclaves, seminars, workshops, club activities, debates, simulation activities, mock interview drives by the industry personnel and many more to provide the experiential learning and enhance the employability skills of the students.
- Collaborating with incubation centres to promote entrepreneurial instinct of the students.
- Providing multiple value-added certifications in almost all the areas of specializations which works as a booster to the student profile
- Global Virtual Team through the Global Immersion Programme to expose the students to different cultures and working environments.
- Identifying, interacting and inviting the prospective recruiters to the campus for the student placement and summer and winter internships and live projects.
- Emphasizing on the project work for both summer and winter internships to imbibe research practices in the students.
