Faculty Profile

Dr. Ruchi Rayat is the Dean-PGP and Deputy Director of Human Resource Management. She is Accredited Management Expert and comes with a rich experience of more than 16 years as an academician and administrator. Her academic assets include a Doctoral Degree in Human Resource Management, Masters in Management and Graduate Diploma in Commerce. She has several publications in national and international journals of high repute including Scopus indexed journals and participated in Faculty Development Programmes at reputed places like Indian Institute of Management (L), SIMCA, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, and BIMTECH, among others.

She has held several faculty and administrative positions during her career. Before joining GIMS, Dr. Rayat was the Programme Head of BBA Platinum, the flagship programme of one of the leading Management Institute. She has also acted as an In-charge Professor of Incubation Centre to mentor the young students in creating their own startups and Chief Editor of the institute magazine. She has served as coordinator of several committees including Women Grievance Cell, Academic Council, Recruitment, Examination, Outreach among others in served colleges. She has also been part of AKTU panel to judge events sponsored by the university in different colleges.

As a respected teacher and facilitator, Dr. Rayat was awarded with ‘Best Educator Award’ by International Association of Educators And Corporate Trainers in IECT Awards held in October’20 and ‘Quality Contribution Award’ by GNIOT Group of Institutions in February’21 for her laudable contribution towards the institute. Professor Rayat has taught several courses in the area of Human Resource Management to both graduate and under graduate level. She has conducted several FDPs and MDPs for academicians and executives from some of the India's leading universities and companies. She has also conducted several workshops on Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence, Business Etiquettes, Professional Writing Skills, and Pre Placement Talks for the faculties and students of different colleges. She is not only best known for her work on employee engagement and corporate culture, but has also conducted research, training and development, recruitment, stress management and managerial careers. Dr.Rayat has also delivered lecturers in different government schools to educate students regarding Women Empowerment and Career Opportunities. To say it in short, Prof.Dr. Rayat is an expert with vast experience and commendable contribution to academics.
