GIMS, Greater Noida organized a Staff Development Programme (SDP) on June 22, 2023, aimed to enhance the skills and professional growth of our non - academic support system.
We truly believe and emphasize on being at par with the industry nuances and thus ,the upskilling is of utmost importance. Learning was impeccable and such knowledge bearing SDP will be conducted in future too.

GIMS Greater Noida organised International Yoga Day on 21 June 2023. The yoga instructor, Dr. Shivom Acharya, taught us different types of asanas and the yoga demonstrator, Mr. Manish, demonstrated them. The Faculties and Staff enjoyed this session.
In the modern era of academic research, qualitative research is gaining a lot of popularity due to extensive production of qualitative data. The researchers shall have the ability to perform qualitative and quantitative research in order to be effective in their research domain.
Owing to this need of the hour, a five day faculty development programme on, "Fundamentals of Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods" is successfully concluded in GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) from June 16 to 21, 2023.
The FDP was aimed to enhance the knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques amongst the faculty participants for providing wider spectrum of conducting research.

Dr. Bhupender Kumar Som (Director, GIMS) discussed on descriptive analysis & use of R software.
The key elements of FDP was to gain in-depth knowledge about SLR, Case Study Discussion, Bibliometric Analysis, Descriptive Analysis and Use of R Software.

Samarpan - The CSR Club in association with Institutions’ Innovation Council (IIC), GIMS, Greater Noida celebrated the World Environment Day by making the environment safe, as the day gives us all reasons to hope and gives us a chance to contribute to the preservation of the environment and health of the planet.
The World Environment Day was celebrated at GIMS by organizing a plantation drive in the campus where faculty and staff planted trees.

GIMS, April 15, 2023: “Set your goals high and always dream big. Because you’re only as big as the dreams you dare to live”.
GNIOT Institute of Management studies organized Praaradbdh 2023: Bid adieu to Launch New Beginnings for its PGDM Batch 2021-23 to mark the journey and have a great future. The theme for the party “Bling it On” was executed to the fullest by the students, faculties and distinguished guests present at the event.
The event was started after all the members graced the event by the anchors by welcoming the Chairman, CEO, Member Management, Dean PGP, Dean OSW, Dean OEC and others along with the senior and students of PGDM 1st year.
The choicest blessings of the goddess of knowledge and wisdom were taken by performing the lamp lightning ceremony and commencing the programme. The felicitation ceremony was next on the line which started with the Dr. Rajesh Gupta Chairman (GNIOT Group of Institutions), Mr. Swadesh Kumar Singh (CEO GIMS) and many others senior management.
Dr. Ruchi Rayat (Dean PGP) was delivered the welcome address. She shared her thoughts on the PGDM batch who were about to start their new journey outside the premises of the institution and also shared that even if we fall seven times we should have the courage and the desire to stand up again the eight times to achieve success and move ahead in our life.
Chairman (GNIOT Group of Institutions) Dr. Rajesh Gupta addressed everyone by highlighting the growth of GIMS and the impact of the college across Delhi NCR and also gave his blessings to everyone present at the event. He wished and prayed for the continuous success and betterment of GIMS and everyone associated with the institute.
Up next was roller coaster rides with an electrifying dance performance by the students of first year and they successfully managed to take the audience at the edge of their seats. Also a beautiful duet singing performance was done for the final year batch to revive the memories of their college days. A beautiful skit was performed up the students depicting a college the things that are a part and parcel of a student life. A musician drama highlighting the hostel life was portrayed by a group of students. It kept the audience engaged and also a nostalgic emotion was in the air in the performance.
The farewell batch were surprised when they all were conferred with some amazing titles which celebrated their respective unique personality
A ramp walk was also on the cards for the batch along with a few exciting titles waiting for them. The main part of the event arrived when the names of the winners were announced. The winners of the grand evening were:

The seniors were taken back down the memory lane when a very beautiful and heart- touching video was displayed on the screen which was prepared by Nazaria- the photography club. It was a very emotional moment for the seniors as they were reminiscing those everlasting memories and amazing moments that they had created during their stay at GIMS.
In the meanwhile, the PGDM boys (hostellers) gave a super entertaining dance performance which was enjoyed by each and everyone present over there. It was followed by a soulful singing performance and rocking rapp performance by the PGDM 1st year boys. What a show, it was!
The wait was over with the grand entry of the Rapp sensation, Panther whose superb and rocking performance stole the show and made everyone shake a leg.
“UP se, Up se, UP se…” , was totally loved by the entire crowd. It was a delight and everyone was elated with joy and happiness.
Then the grand and mesmerizing event came to an end with the DJ and everyone liked the mouth-watering delicacies as it was a treat to the taste-buds. Thus it was a grand show and a successful farewell party!

Under the banner of Employability Skills Enhancement Programme (ESEP), GIMS, Greater Noida organized a workshop on " Hiring Intent ~ Know Your Organization " on April 19, 2023 for its PGDM 2022-24 batch.
The resource person for the workshop was Ranu Saxena, Manager Learning & Development/ Corporate Resource Centre.
Students learned about the intent of organisation when they are hiring freshers. Top skills required, top cities trends for hiring freshers, top industries hiring trends, top job roles were discussed.
At the end of the session students were engaged in a Quiz. With much enthusiasm and zeal they participated and made the session a successful one.

The Peer Mentoring activity SkillIDing: Growing by Empowering, organized by Saksham- The Student Welfare Club, GIMS, Greater Noida successfully completed with a huge participation and learning by the PGDM I Year students of GIMS, Greater Noida.
This fortnight long activity aimed at honing the skills of students by their fellow colleagues to help them emerge into a stronger version of theirs. The PGDM I year students mentored their colleagues on certain soft skills like reasoning skills, critical thinking, presentation and confidence building through solving the HBR cases provided to them and thereafter presenting the solution too.
All the mentors finished their job very well and the best of the lot won the "Skill Champs" title. The mentors were awarded the Skill Marshalls, the Skill Masters and the Skill Masters in the Making titles in the I, II and III category respectively.

Considering this thought and celebrate the essence of taste, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida organized a “Food Fiesta” on the 6th of April. GIMS offered the 1st year PGDM students a platform with an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills with a pinch of creativity and their business acumen too. The Fiesta was held at the Central Lawns, Chanakya Block, GIMS and was attended by the administration, i.e., The Director (Prof) Dr. Sanjeev Chaturvedi; Dean- PGP, Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean-OSW, Dr. Shalini Sharma, COE Dr. Pradeep Verma, all the area chairs, faculties and the members of the Library, the Outreach Cell, the Corporate Resource Center (CRC), the PGP Cell, the Examination Cell and the IT Cell along with all the other students, faculties and staff of the GNIOT Group of Institutions.
The Fiesta began at 10:00 AM and continued till 01:30 PM, during the course of time a competition was organized to encourage leadership skills in the students. The participants organized their stalls and had to attract the audience to their respective stalls to sell the maximum product and earn the maximum revenue. Winners of the Food Fiesta was to be decided on the most revenue generated by a team and how well they exhibited their selling techniques to cater to the customer needs. Students were given ample amount of time to prepare the food in campus, they stood their ground and displayed their real-life cooking skills making variety of Indian Cuisines; which includes Paw-Bhaji, Bhel-Puri, Fruits Salad, Mocktail, Golgappe, Litti-choka, Banarasi Chai, Pasta, Veg Biryani, Raj Kachori, and many more.
It was not only the food stalls that the customers had but the Fiesta had many interesting games also to engage the customers and a variety to the whole event. The students were actively engaged in promoting their stalls and attracting customers. They used various personal selling techniques, including offering free samples, engaging in conversation with customers and providing information about the ingredients and preparation methods of their dishes. Students dressed up in smart casuals that matched the theme of their stalls which added to the overall ambiance of the event. The customers were mainly college students, faculty and staff members who were impressed by the quality, variety and taste of the food. The prices of the dishes were reasonable and affordable, which made it easy for
customers to try out multiple dishes The event was decorated with colorful banners, ribbons which added to the festive atmosphere of the event.
Food Fiesta fun was enhanced when students brought cut-outs of Instagram and Facebook home screen; everyone clicked beautiful pictures and savored unforgettable memories. Students also added Games to engage the audience and in no time, it grabbed everyone’s attention, live commentary electrified the atmosphere, different teams of the food fiesta competed with each other and had a great time with the students in this Food Fiesta.
The Food Fiesta event was a huge success, and the students received a lot of appreciation for organizing such a fun-filled and entertaining event. The students participated in the event were able to showcase their culinary skills with creativity. The faculty coordinators Dr. Nishant Kumar Singh and Prof. Silky Gaur, the other faculty members, the institute staff members were impressed with the quality and variety of the dishes served by the students. The Fiesta provided a platform for the students to learn new real-life skills, showcase their talents, and interact with their peers and faculty members in a fun and engaging environment. GIMS always strive towards plans to take these kinds of fests on to new levels and provide management learning experience by adding fun elements in it. The CEO of the organization, Mr. Swadesh Kumar Singh, appreciated the efforts of one and all involved in organizing the fiesta.
On March 25, 2023, GIMS in association with Young Indians hosted the YUVA Growth Summit. The summit started with address of Mr Nikhil Jain Chair Yuva CII Noida Chapter, where he shared the reason behind the logo of Growth Summit which portrays Red signifies Entrepreneurship, Blue Technology and Green - Sustainability. The summit was carried on by our Chief Guest Mr. Anil Kumar Rana Inspector 39th Battalion ITBP he shared provoking thoughts regarding power of youth, importance of patience and finally believe in yourself, the summit got elated with the surprise visit of Mr Ajay Singh Commanding Officer 39 battalion ITBP. He shared the difficulties he faced during his work-life tenure, then he quoted the famous quote "Money can buy everything not the respect".
The summit then paved mid-way and the next speaker was Radhika Arora Group CHRO Jackson Group she shared some anecdotes regarding attitude, belief and different mindsets we have to inculcate to succeed in life. Then Executive Vice President and Business head Popeyes at Jubilant Food Works Ltd Mr Gaurav Pandey shared some valuable insights regarding Dunning Kruger Effect, the art of selling, decision making skills. The last speaker of the summit was Mr Ankush Madan Co Founder and Director Opulence Wealth , he shared some enlightening words relating to Asset Allocation, Power of starting early, compounding and diversification of the portfolios.
Overall, the YUVA Growth Summit was a huge success and GIMS will be delighted to organize such kind of mega events under the banner of Young Indians in near future as well.
