Under the banner of Performance Improvement Program (PIP),a workshop on "Credit Rating Agencies" was organized for PGDM Ist Year Students on 7th September' 22. The workshop intended to educate students about the functioning of Credit Rating Agencies. It helped the future managers to understand the concepts of Credit Rating and Credit Scores, and the working of various credit rating agencies of India like CRISIL, ICRA and CARE.

Prof. Sudha Pandey was the Resource Person of the workshop.

Today GIMSIans not only witnessed the pragmatic deliberations by visionary leaders and eminent stalwarts during "Education Summit 2022, PHDCCI" but also witnessed the great reservoir of wisdom. The summit was glorified by the presence of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Honorable Minister of state (IC), Ministry of Science and Technology, Prof. Jagdish Kumar, Chairman UGC, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Parliament Member, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Olympic medalist and many more. National Education Policy (NEP) was discussed with the revelation of the fact that quality education is its hallmark and how Panchpran, as said by our honorable Prime Minister ji is linked with the NEP.

Under the banner of Performance Improvement Program (PIP) , a workshop on "Understanding salary components and Salary Structure Design" was organized for HR Specialization students on 1st September'22. The workshop intended to educate students about the Salary Breakup, deductions and Tax calculation .It helped the future HR Leaders to build and understand Pay Structure which would empower them to build a pay structure that is defensible,competitive, flexible and practical.

Dr. Ruchi Rayat(Area Chair-OB & HRM) was the Resource Person of the workshop.

Arthvitt - The Finance and Economics Club of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, GIMS, Greater Noida organised a role play competition " Cadre- Live - Action" for PGDM Ist Year Students on 31st August 2022.

The event started with auspicious lamp lightning followed by Sarswati Vandana.

The program formally began with the welcome address delivered Dr. Shikha Jalota, Area Chair - Finance.

In the competition 5 teams had participated enthusiastically. Students have highlighted the journey of Successful entrepreneurs in the form of role play and they have also shared their insights on major contribution of these entrepreneurs in the growth of Indian economy. The day had been marked with the splendid performance by PGDM 1st year students. Top 3 teams were felicitated for their performance.

The winners has been awarded with Certificates of Appreciation by the faculty members.

Dr. Shikha Jalota also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the students coordinators by giving them Certificate of Appreciation.

Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean PGP congratulated the students and motivated them to perform better in the upcoming events.

In the end Prof. Sudha Pandey extended vote of thanks to all judges, faculty members, staff and students to make the event successful.

Saksham Club GIMS organised Class Representative Elections on Wednesday, 31st August for PGDM Batch 2021-23 students.

The programme started with Prof. Pradeep Verma stating the importance of class representative for students and declared the pre requisites for the same. Prof. Silky Gaur stated rules of the elections and introduced the candidates to the students. The candidates then gave their presentations and tried to convince the audience that they are worth of being a Class Representative. The previous Class Representatives shared their journey which created a sense of positivity and belongingness among students. In the end, A google form was sent to the students wherein they chose their New Class Representative(CR).

To impart the lesson of Sportsmanship to our Millennials Manager GIMS, Greater Noida celebrated National Sports Day - Infinito - A Champions League to mark the Birth Anniversary of the Wizard of Hockey- Major Dhyan Chand.

The event was organised by Spardhaa - The Sports Club on 29 August 2022.

Active participation and enthusiasm was exhibited by all the students during the games like Kho-Kho, Gully Football, Relay Race, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess etc. The day ended with a friendly match of tug of war between Faculties and Outreach team. The day was full of excitement, learning and laughter.

To provide an excellent learning opportunity to its budding managers, CRC at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, Greater Noida organised an Industrial Visit at Haier Appliances (India) Pvt. Ltd. for PGDM Batch 22-24. Haier India is a 100 percent subsidiary of Haier Group, one of the fastest growing consumer durables company. Haier Group Corporation is a multinational home appliances and consumer electronics company headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong.

The aim of this visit was to make our millennial managers learn the nuances of consumer durable business and to help them create a connect in between classroom learning and real life functioning of a globally acclaimed corporation.

We extend gratitude to Team Haier for outstanding support and hospitality.

The Induction Programme of the III Batch of PGDM 2022-24 at GNIOT Institute Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida witnessed a flee of dignitaries ranging from the Sports prodigy, the Gold Medalist Indian Wrestler Ms. Babita Nagar to the President PHDCCI, Mr. Pradeep Multani and the HR Topshots Mr. Varindra Singh, Chief Mgr - HR, Fortum India Pvt Ltd and Mr. Suman Saha, Group Head- HR, Indian Cellular & Electronics Association.

The luminaries encouraged and enlightened the new joiners with their Mantras to lead a successful and contented life viz , Learn to listen and listen to learn, Don't only know the tricks of the trade but follow them too and Never Give up; Always strive for achieving the best.

The event was a grand success with huge takeaways for the audience that'll motivate them building their career

"Cultural Sensitivity at the Workplace leverages to create a competent team that can communicate and relate to one another."

Under the banner of ' Performance Improvement Program (PIP), a workshop on ' Cultural Sensitivity in the Workplace ' was organized by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies.

By talking about and focussing on the strengths and benefits that diversity brings, Dr. Ruchi Rayat ( Dean PGP & Area Chair- OB & HRM) emphasized on cultural sensitivity and how it brings change to the workplace climate and the community.She helped the Millennial managers to develop the willingness to accept the journey towards greater enlightenment and having an open minded attitude towards the diversity around us.

The interpretation of Bharat may be different for different people but the essence remains the same : Progress, Prosperity, Peace and Love.

Sanskriti Club, GIMS, Greater Noida, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav(AKAM), organized "Main Hoon Bharat: Your Representation of India @75" from August 4-10, 2022 to celebrate 75 years of Independence of the Nation. The "Nation First; Always First" ideology gave birth to heart touching caricatures of the Millennials of GIMS of their country at 75 years of independence. The collages of the participants for India@75 reverberated Progress, Oneness, Peace and Happiness.

The youth has affirmed the nation's progress with leaps and bounds in these many years. They are assured that India is all set to adorn the whole world with its divine philosophies of sacrifice, courage, humanity and inclusivity. The diversity of India is its strength which makes our culture richest of all.
