The students from PGDM Batch 24-26, GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR had the incredible opportunity to attend the "Global Sustainable Aviation Conclave," held at Indian Aviation Academy, New Delhi on October 25, 2024. This prestigious event brought together thought leaders, industry pioneers, and environmental advocates under one roof to discuss one of the most pressing issues of our time: The Impact of Carbon Emissions in Aviation and Strategies for Carbon Offsetting.

During the event, panel discussions illuminated these issues and explored the roadmap to a sustainable future in aviation. This included in-depth conversations on reducing emissions, implementing innovative green technologies, and enhancing global sustainability through carbon offset initiatives.

For our students, this experience provided an invaluable window into real-world applications of sustainability practices in an industry of global scale and influence. 

GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, recently held an engaging and impactful event, "POLICE KI PATHSHALA," on October 23, 2024, for the PGDM Batch 24-26. This unique session provided students with a firsthand look into the world of law enforcement and public administration.

We were honored to have IPS Shakti Mohan Awasthi, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Noida, as the esteemed guest. His expert insights into leadership, public policy, and the operational dynamics of policing offered students a valuable learning experience that connects classroom knowledge with real-world challenges.

Intiexcellent Chamber of Commerce & Industry recognized GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, as the "Best Management College in North India of the Year 2024!" in recognition of its outstanding contributions to education, skill development, and research. GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, successfully inaugurated 'Harmonic Hideout'- the ultimate music room for the #GIMSians on October 17, 2024. The event was graced by the renowned motivational speaker and corporate trainer, Mr. Sonu Sharma.

Harmonic Hideout is a dedicated space that celebrates the love for music, creativity, and artistic expression. It promises to be the go-to-spot for everything related to rhythm, beats, and melodies. It is designed to be a creative hub for students to come together, explore their talents, and experience the magic of music in a vibrant atmosphere.

GIMS Greater Noida/Delhi NCR recently hosted yet another inspiring session as part of its "Tutelege" program for its PGDM Batch 2023-25, featuring the renowned motivational speaker Mr. Sonu Sharma. His practical insights on several integral topics like Self Management, Goal Setting, Time Management, Self Discipline and the significance of consistent effort struck a chord with the students. Throughout this session, Mr. Sharma connected meaningfully with the attendees, providing valuable guidance on how to set goals in life, how to fix career objectives and achieve them. His expertise not only motivated the students but also equipped them with essential tools for success in the competitive corporate landscape.

Empowering Students for a Secure Digital Future!
The IIC and Research & Development Club at GIPS organized an enlightening awareness campaign on Cyber Security in celebration of Cyber Security Month, as declared by AICTE, on 17th October 2024.
Cyber Security Expert, Mr. Shankar Suman , delivered an engaging session, providing students with critical knowledge to safeguard themselves in the digital world.
The key takeaways from the session covered a range of essential topics in cyber security, including strategies to prevent phishing attacks, effective password management, and the use of encryption to enhance data security. Students also learned how to conduct safe online transactions , recognize and defend against social engineering tactics and cyberbullying , and stay informed about the latest trends and emerging threats in the cyber world. The session also provided insights into ethical hacking, equipping participants with the knowledge to navigate the digital landscape responsibly.

The much-awaited Freshers' Party 2024, "Beinvenidos Novatos," organised by PGDM Batch 23-25, GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, was a grand success! The event was a celebration of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement as it marked the official welcome of the PGDM Batch 24-26.

The highlight of the evening was the presence of talented and charismatic Rupali Jagga, who graced the event as a celebrity guest. Her presence electrified the atmosphere as she captivated the audience with her mesmerizing voice and phenomenal performances. Her soulful melodies and powerful singing left the crowd spellbound, creating an unforgettable evening for everyone present.

GIMS Greater Noida Delhi-NCR Welcomes PGDM Batch 24-26 with Grand Freshers' Party "Bienvenidos Novatos"!

GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, successfully hosted the much-awaited freshers’ party "Bienvenidos Novatos" on 16th October 2024. The event marked the official welcome of the PGDM Batch 24-26 into the GIMS family, where fun, talent, and celebration took center stage.

This year’s celebration exceeded all expectations, with vibrant performances, mesmerizing ramp walks, and a wave of enthusiasm that spread throughout the campus. The competition was fierce, but two exceptional students, Divyanshu Bisht and Apurva Agarwal, walked away with the coveted titles of Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2024.

As the night drew to a close, the energy, laughter, and camaraderie continued to linger, making it clear that the new batch of 2024-26 is ready to make its mark at GIMS.

The another group of PGDM Batch 23-25, GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, marks day 4 in Malaysia with learning and exploration. The students attended another international certification session on "Entrepreneurial Mind-Set and Creativity" at MAHSA University, Malaysia.

Following this, the students embarked on an industrial visit to Royal Selangor, a renowned Malaysian company famous for its exquisite craftsmanship in pewter. The students also visited to KL Tower and enjoyed some leisure time at the vibrant Times Square Mall in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 4 was a perfect blend of education, industry exposure, and cultural immersion for the students. 

The Business Analytics Department, GIMS, Greater Noida/Delhi-NCR, is excited to announce the conclusion of the first two rounds of the Excel competition, "Spreadsheet Supernova - A Stellar Showdown," set for October 3, 2024. 

This event has successfully engaged PGDM batch 24-26 students in showcasing their Excel skills, with strong participation fostering a collaborative and competitive environment. The preliminary rounds tested a range of functionalities from basic formulas to advanced data analysis, providing valuable feedback and skill development for all participants. 

The final showdown will feature a thrilling competition between first-year and second-year students who successfully clear the second round, with the dates to be announced soon. This exciting culmination will allow participants to demonstrate their growth and potentially claim the title of Excel Champion. As we prepare for this grand occasion, excitement is palpable, and we look forward to a thrilling event that celebrates our collective passion for business analytics.
