A webinar was organised by MCA Department under the banner of "Orientation 2020" in Greater Noida Institute of Technology on 10th December ,2020.

The session was presented by the expert,

Dr. Ajay Vikram Singh, Head of Cisco Networking Academy. The topic of the webinar was "The recent trends in Information Technology for career enhancement"

Our expert, Dr. Ajay Vikram Singh discussed about the various recent trends in Information Technology which is widely used in the technology industry including Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning,Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and so on. He also asked many questions to the students regarding technologies which are used nowadays and how they are interrelated to each other.

He tried to make the session interactive by asking questions in order to motivate the students and build their interest in the topic being discussed in the session.

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) organized Chanakya Talks. A corporate Speaker Series. The event was inaugurated by Sarasvati Vandana followed by welcome address by Director Dr. A. K. Singh. Speaker of the day Mr. R. J. Masilamani Ex-CEO Timex delivered his lecture on Old Normal Keys to New Normal. He rightly linked chanakya’s arthasashtra & education with present context.
 
He shared his own experience & learning with reference to Old Normal Key to New Normal. He explained old normal from objectives of the firm to role of customer satisfaction & being in one business etc. He has thrown light on new normal which is half-truth and very well commented on that. 

He also talked about his own experience about:
• social media & internet
• information technology assessment 
• valuation of startups 
• payment to employees & vendors

Alumni Cell and Department of Information Technology, GNIOT GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, GREATER NOIDA, organized a webinar on “Cloud ERP” on 28th November, 2020 between 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

The session was inaugurated by Director Sir Dr.Rajesh Goel along with Dean Academics Dr.Dhiraj Gupta Sir, GNIOT-132.The Session was presented by Ms.Kirti Negi, Consultant, Application Software Technology.Ms.Kirti very well explained the concept and requirement of “Cloud ERP”, which is software as a service that allows users to access Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software over the Internet. She further explained the difference between Cloud ERP and on-premises ERP where the software is physically located.

The main motto of this initiative of this program to boost Technical Culture in our Campus. As we have noticed many of colleges is not up-to-dates according to need. And in other colleges most of these clubs are student driven so we have planned to do same.

For Third & Final Year:

• Almost every company takes a technical and problem
solving round so practicing it in community will be helpful in preparation.
• It will help in cracking technical rounds and job interviews.
• We will ensure that the learning problem solving will be accessible and interesting  for everyone.

For First & Second Year:

• As programming using C is part of the subject irrespective of branch so we can make sure that their interest in technical domain increase in community.
• Learning and Practicing DSA in early semesters will help them in grasping concepts more clearly.

Today Institutes Innovation Council, GNIOT, Greater Noida had organized a  Expert Talk on the topic “Transforming public services through innovation” through online mode.

Session was inaugurated by the Director of the Institute Dr Rajesh Goel with his motivational words. Dr Anuranjan Misra  Dean (Research & Innovation ) briefed audience about the purpose of Institution Innovation cell(an initiative of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India). Dr Rajdev Tiwari Head of CSE department welcomed guests , dignitaries and participants.

Session was taken by an expert and eminent personality from industry Shri Rajesh Dogra ji who is Global Program Director of Passport Seva programme being executed by TCS in partnership with Ministry of external affairs Government of India.

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on "Computational Methods for Process Design and  Optimization".

The expert lecture was quite interactive and all participants attended very actively as a result of excellent efforts made by our moderator Mr Kapil Kumar. The session was inaugurated by the Director, GNIOT, Dr. Rajesh Goyal with his introductory and inspiring speech. HOD, ME, Dr. Alok Manas Dubey later shared his knowledge about the role of computational methods in advance manufacturing process and optimization. Dean Academics Dr. Dheeraj Gupta also added few words on the importance of computational methods in optimization.

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on " MICROSOFT AZURE" on 26th November, 2020. The expert Speaker Mr. Neeraj kr. Jha (Infrastructure Engineering Consultant, UHG ) was quite knowledgeable . 

About 140 students attended this session. The session was inaugurated  by the Director, GNIOT, Dr. Rajesh Goyal with his motivational words.

Dean Academics Dr. Dheeraj Gupta also joined the session and enlightened everyone. Dr. Shelly Garg welcomed all the esteemed Guests and also shred her knowledge about the current situation of Azure in current Pandemic situation. 

Every faculty of the department made optimising efforts to make the event  successful. Mr. Neeraj is  an Infrastructure consultant driving projects related to IT medernization, automation and migration to the cloud.

The session was presented by the expert, Dr. Ashish Seth from Inha University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The topic of the webinar was "Blockchain Overview-Business Foundations.

Our expert, Dr. Ashish Seth gave students a brief overview of Blockchain Technology, it's working, the way of implementing the technology and the basics of it.

Our esteemed speaker, Dr. Ashish Seth also explained the concept of Blockchain Technology by describing it as a backbone technology of Digital Cryptocurrency Bitcoin. It is also been defined as the database and a record keeping systems(for all kind of data) of all transactions or digital event that has been executed and shared among participating parties.

The students actively participated in the webinar and got immense guidance and knowledge from our expert.

Day 8, The Concluding Day of ARISE-2020, PRE-ORIENTATION program for B Tech first year students started with welcome note by Dr Rajesh Goel, Director of the Institute. Mr Pranav Sharma, Team Lead,Tata Consultancy Services was the guest speaker for today's first session. He delivered a wonderful session on "Career Options in Engineering''. He emphasized on continuous up gradation of engineering skills as per the industry requirements from time to time. Importance of IOT, AI and Machine Learning process was discussed. Embedded Development System and PLC based Industry was also elaborated. Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary engineering systems were also briefed by the speaker. He pointed out that learning or knowledge of latest programming languages is essential to survive in industry.
Vote of thanks for the session was proposed by Dr B S Chauhan, Dean B Tech first year. Ms Vasudha Tiwari was the moderator of the session.

Day 7 of ARISE-2020, PRE-ORIENTATION program for B Tech first year students started with welcome note by Dr Rajesh Goel. Mr Piyush Sethi, Corporate Head HR, Positive Group of Companies,  was the guest speaker for today's first session. He delivered an exemplary session on "Emerging Expectations of the Industry from the Young Talent''. He described the industry and academia as the two parallel roads which will always move together. Importance of creativity, innovation, integrity, problem solving approach and contribution to society as the integral parts of the personality of a person that are looked upon by any recruiter. Importance of IOT, IIOT, automation, machine learning in industry was also discussed. He emphasized on multidisciplinary, multitasking, adaptability, flexibility as the major qualities that are being looked upon by the HR heads of major top companies.
