GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida organized “Samrik Talk Series (STS) – Unleash Your Potential For Success” on 10th November 2022 for PGDM students. The Resource Person of the talk series was Brig (Dr) Sunil Kumar Moudgil (Retd) CEO & Founder, Moudgil Learning & Development Solutions. He emphasized the importance of Discipline and Self Motivation to achieve success in life. Brig (Dr) Sunil Kumar Moudgil suggested the key points to the students which will help them in achieving career growth.

This entire session was very interactive and knowledgeable for both students and faculty members.

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida took the Unity Pledge on the Unity Day to mark the birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

All the students, faculty and staff of GIMS, Greater took the pledge and vowed to spread and maintain unity in their environment.

The students of GIMS celebrated “Deepotsav” organized by Sanskriti Club, with full fervour and enthusiasm. The event commenced with seeking blessings of Maa Saraswati following which cultural performances including songs, dance and fun games lifted everyone’s festive spirits. The event ended with students singing happy Diwali and lighting diyas in the campus marking the win of good over evil.

Under the banner of "Employability Skills Enhancement Program (ESEP)", a session on "Potential of Information Technology in Business Domains" was conducted on October 19, 2022 for the PGDM Batch 22-24 to familiarize the students with the potential of Information Technology in business domains. IT in business domains, is not only limited to the area of process improvement, but also adds value in the area of customer service, human resources, marketing, supply chain management and all other domains of business operation. Information technology has the potential to revolutionize the way businesses operate.

Key learning outcomes of the session were:

1. Potential of Information Technology and adaptability in different business functions

2. Hidden potential of different statistical and visualization tools

3. Job opportunities in automation environment

4.Transformation of working culture of business domains.

To orient students towards the emerging field, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) organized a Guest Lecture on "Information Security and Privacy" by Mr. Kailash D Agarwal, Information Security Consultant & Auditor, Panacea InfoSec, New Delhi. Students of PGDM Batch 2022-24 attended the session on 19th October 2022.

The esteemed Guest motivated the students by highlighting the kind of practices they should follow in their life to be secured in the era of cyber-attacks

Happiness Factory" ~ True to what they say & believe, visit to Coca Cola brought million dollar smile on the faces of our young managers from PGDM Batch 2021-23. GIMS, Greater Noida organized this Industrial Visit to make students learn the modus operandi of Coca Cola. Our students got to know some intresting facts about Coca Cola such as Coupons are the innovation of Coca Cola and Limca book of records is the venture of Coca Cola. CSR project Unnati for Maaza is the remarkable effort being undertaken for the upliftment of the society. Students witnessed the largest bottling plant, combi block line and sparkling line. The sparkling can line manufactures the nation’s top selling soft drink brands including Sprite and Thums Up.

We are eternally thankful for the inexhaustible opportunity provided by Coca Cola Happiness Factory plant.

Under the banner of Performance Improvement Program GIMS organised a workshop on “Role of Credit Rating Agencies in the Financial Market” on 14th September 2022. The facilitator of the session briefed the students how the Credit Rating Agencies work and why it’s role is considered to be very important in the financial market. Students were also made aware about the prominent credit rating agencies working in the market and shown how it rate the different financial instruments of the company.

Under the banner of " Performance Improvement Program (PIP) " GIMS successfully organized another workshop on "Statistical Data Analysis Using Excel" for PGDM First year students on 10th September 2022 from 3:30 PM onwards.

During the workshop, facilitator - Prof. Pradeep Verma – imparted a hands-on training to the students on utilizing the Data Analysis tool of MS Excel for performing various statistical operations. The session comprised of learning and performing various statistical formulas and tools to perform the statistical operations automatically on click of a button.

Ronald Coase has well said that "Torture the data, and it will confess to anything." With this increasing availability of data and need of analyzing all its aspects be it for successfully running the business operations or for decision making, it is critical for our students to hone this skill of data analytics and learn the statistical tools to become successful in their career and at GIMS we aim to do that. We are sure this session will help our students as they step into their corporate world.

Under the Banner of "Performance Improvement Program (PIP)" GIMS organised a workshop on "Role of Investment Advisor and it's Career Opportunities in the Financial Market". The workshop facilitator Dr. Shikha Jalota during the session highlighted the role of Investment Advisor for both the individual investor as well as the enterprise. The session further proceeded to discuss the qualifications required to become a Qualified Investment Advisor and students were told about the various area specific professional certifications offered by prime institutional bodies to develop expertise.

The session also pitched on the corporate requirements and recent scenario of the varied career opportunities in which the students can explore in this stream of Financial Market.

Saksham, The Student Welfare Club of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies" had organized " Class Representative Elections” for PGDM Batch 2022-24, on 8th September 2022.

The program started with the brief introduction of the key responsibility areas of Class Representative. The students were then briefed about the rules that need to be followed by all for the smooth conduction of the elections.

The program proceeded further and the students, who had given their candidature for Class Representatives gave their presentations to introduce themselves and also to share their set of duties and worth of being a Class Representative.

Thr voting was conducted in a confidential manner. The complete process was conducted under the able supervision of Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dr. Shikha Jalota, Dr. Shalini Sharma and Prof. Sudha Pandey.
