Rock music, Welcome drinks, Tasty food, Smiles and resounding laughter all at the same time- yes, it was a Party time to welcome Freshers at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida!! 'Beinvenidos Novatos- The Freshers Party’ was organized on 18th September'21 and created a buzz among the Freshers to forget deadlines and their so called sacrosanctity. Everyone conspired that day to make the event memorable and it yet happened that the students rejoiced with fun n frolic. The students gave their performance on dancing, singing, stand-up comedy etc. The fashion show was organized for freshers, in which they were accompanied by International Models to boost up the confidence of the students. Mr. and Miss. Fresher were decided on the basis of their confidence and opinion on various questions asked by the judges. The event was perpetuated by the presence of the Prime Time Hit FM 95 RJs -The Gulati Brothers- Campi & Ritesh fondly known as Zabardast Spa

The Induction Program 2021, GIMS was bought with a view to uplift the level of entrants to an elevated stage and get them familiarized with the institution as well as the ethos to be maintained during their stay in the institution. The program began with welcome address by Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Director, GIMS). The program was marked with the presence of eminent personalities like Dr. Jatinder Singh ( Director- PHDCCI , Delhi), Mr. Amulya Sah (CHRO- Team Computers) and Mr. Swapnil Verma (VP Marketing RBL Bank) who exposed the students to the professional life and how they can sail through hardships of corporate life. The students get motivated to get encultured in the color of GIMS. Event was concluded by Vote of Thanks to all the speakers and entrants, by Dr. Ruchi Rayat (Dean- OSW).

Understanding and raising Emotional Intelligence is essential to success and leadership potential. A workshop under the banner of ' Performance Improvement Program (PIP)' was conducted for our future leaders on 13th of September by Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean (OSW) & Area Chair( HRM). The Key Takeaways of the session were: Development of interpersonal skills such as self-awareness, which is the ability of an individual to recognize and understand one's moods, emotions and drives as well as their impact on others. Cultivate empathy or the ability to understand the emotional makeup of other people and skill in responding according to their emotional reactions. Develop interpersonal skills which indicate the individual's proficiency in managing relationships and building networks. Develop skills in responding to criticisms & adversity. Leadership strategies for working with others towards shared goals.

Darpan 2.0- The Embedded Assessment by industry experts at GIMS, Greater Noida, showered abundance of learning to the GIMSians. The views and the comprehensive feedback shared by Mr. Umesh Chaudhary- Head HR, Jaina India Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Debaprasad Ray, Sr. Manager, VEST Inc. (Virtual Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd.), were immense. The inputs shared will serve as a ready reckoner for the Managers to-be of GIMS, Greater Noida. This activity was yet another attempt to polish the skills of our Millennials and will prove its worth in the coming Campus Drives

TRICKS AND TECHNIQUES ON TALLY PRIME AMAZED ALL!
A one day workshop on ‘Accounting using Tally Prime’ concluded at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) on September 09, 2021. The objective of the workshop was to train PGDM students in the area of preparation of various financial & accounting reports through Tally Prime. This workshop was also intended to impart hands-on functional knowledge to the students on accounting software.
The resource persons of the programme Dr. Ankit Goel, Area Chair – Finance, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) conducted the workshop session for students and disseminated functional accounting knowledge to them on Tally Prime environment. 
 

"Educators are the only people who lose sleep over other people's kids" National Teacher's Day was celebrated by millennial managers of GIMS to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of  students- the leaders of tomorrow. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 3rd of September. The whole event was meticulously planned by PGDM students. The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana and paying tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator. The cultural programme unfolded with lot of mesmerizing performances by the students including cultural dance, skit, singing, speeches, etc. The programme was followed by musical chair and few performances by the teachers. The day observed lot of fun n frolic and ended with honouring the teachers with bouquet and gifts.

The #youthfulness resonated at GIMS, Greater Noida Campus, to mark the Birth Anniversary of the Wizard of Hockey- Major Dhyan Chand, celebrating the National Sports Day at Yuvspandan- The Sports Extravaganza. The event was organized by Spardhaa- The Sports Club, #GIMSGreaterNoida, for its Management Millennials to learn, explore and dive deep into the spirit of Sportsmanship saluting the HERO of the Indian Hockey. The fervour of Sports was celebrated by one and all, the winners were cheered and the participants applauded by all present at the Closing Ceremony.

15th August is a great day and a proud moment for every Indian.On the occasion, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies(GIMS)  Celebrated 75th Independence day of India organized by SANSKRITI CLUB .Everyone on  the campus was geared up & enthused for the momentous occasion. Patriotic speeches on the theme ' Phir Muskurayega Bharat' were  delivered by both Ist Year & Final year PGDM students. Students spoke about the importance of the Independence Day & expressed their emotions through patriotic songs, speeches & dance performances. The highlight part of the show was speech delivered by Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director-GIMS.He told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. The second Step of the conclusion of BRIDGE Course was Aarogyam - Yog Abhyaas organised by Spardhaa - The Sports Club, GIMS Greater Noida on August 13,2021. The workshop was conducted under the Supervision of Col(Retd.) B.C. Yadav, Patron- Seva Bharti Gautam Buddha Nagar. The participants learnt various life skill techniques during the Yoga Workshop. Insights on the usefulness of the Yoga exercises Pranayam, Bhujang Asana, Surya Namaskar and many more were shared with the Future Managers in order to maintain their life not only healthy but mindful and balanced. In all the Aarogyam was a rewarding experience for one and all.

Darpan - The Job Expo organized by CCD, GIMS Greater Noida concluded through the Award Ceremony amidst the presence of the Corporate Guests Mr. Ashish Garg, Alumnus- SRCC, Manager- Training and Academics, IIFM and Ms. Neelanshi Rawat, HRBP- BLS International. The programme began with the Welcome Address of Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director - GIMS which was followed by the address of the Corporate Guests Mr. Ashish Garg and Ms. Neelanshi Rawat. The guests were quite impressed by the zeal and intent of our Millennial Managers. They reiterated the term Capable+Willing_(quoted by Director-GIMS)_to be quite befitting to our Young Managers.
