Agile, The Logistics and SCM Club, GIMS in association with Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) had organized Four Days ' Skill Augmentation Certification' on Yellow Belt Six Sigma from 14th March to 17th March'22 for PGDM final year students.
Six Sigma is a process improvement approach. The focus of Six Sigma is to improve processes to save money for organizations. For this reason, more and more companies use this approach. Learning and mastering this approach gave a definite employment advantage to our millennial managers.
GIMS. Gr. Noida organized a 3 days Skill Augmentation Certification (14th-16th.Mar.2022) on 'Digital Marketing' for its PGDM I Year students (Batch 2021-23). The certification was organized in association with the Professional Institute of Marketing & Strategy (PIMS, Noida). In this certification program the students learned about various facets of digital marketing and gained hands-on experience in several domains like SEO, SEM, SMM, Google Analytics, Web design, Affiliate marketing etc. This activity helped the students to develop better insights about the digital marketing space

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, GIMS celebrated International Women's Day in the presence of Ms. Vaishavi Sinha Bhasin, Managing Director- Shoonya Farms. The day was marked with a seminar on ' Women Entrepreneurs: Making a change from Employment to Small and Medium Business Ownership'. Ms Vaishavi shared her transformational journey from being a National level athlete to Managing Director of Shoonya Farms. She aligned her life challenges as a woman entrepreneur with woman’s role in the Indian society. She stood out to be a role model for many students.

Under the banner of Performance Improvement Program (PIP), a workshop on ' Data Driven HR: How to use Analytics and Metrics to drive performance' was conducted for PGDM Ist year students with HR Specialization on 26th February'22.
Key Takeaways of the session were:

*Support and design HR metrics and HR strategy Maps for strategic outcomes.
*Use metrics and quantify key outcomes in recruitment, L&D, Compensation and performance management.
The workshop intended to develop skill set that would empower future leaders to take better Decisions and become Agile HR Managers.

Having a day denoted in the year as ' National Management Day' is to acknowledge the importance of management profession in all the spheres of human endeavour.
Nutan, The Innovation & Entreprenurship Club, GIMS in association with Institute's Innovation Council,IIC had organized Management Quiz on the theme- New Age Startups & Entreprenurship. The event began with opening remarks by Prof.Mayank Mumar Pandey, Head PGP where he enlightened students about the origination and importance of National Management Day. He also emphasized on ' What is expected from a manager'.
In the competition, 15 teams had participated enthusiastically. The winners had been awarded with certificates of appreciation by the faculty members.
On this special day, Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean-OSW introduced 'New Age Startups & Entrepreneurship' as a new specialization to be offered in the PGDM program from the academic year 2022-23. Finally she expressed thanks to Prof Mudit Tomar & Prof. Gouri Shankar Sharma for organizing a wonderful event
To sensitise students about the recent trends and models in Indian Finserv industry, GIMS, Greater Noida organized a Performance Improvement Program (PIP) for it PGDM II Year students.
Students learned about business models, revenue models and fintech ecosystem in India.
Faculty Development Program on 'Case Writing Methodology'
GNIOT Institute of Management Studies in association with BIMTECH, Greater Noida had organised Faculty Development Program on 'Case Writing Methodology' on 22 January'22 for all the faculty members of GNIOT Group.
Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Convenor- FDP presided over the inaugural event and welcomed all the Directors of GNIOT Group, faculty participants and expert guest of the program, Dr. Ajoy k. Dey, Chairperson-CMCD, BIMTECH.
The session started with the opening remarks of Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director- GIMS. In the key address, Dr. Singh spoke about the relevance of case writing for the faculty and how it can contribute to research and case discussion in the class room.
The expert speaker focused on major 4 areas while sharing his knowledge on case methods:
1. To develop an understanding of the writing and teaching concepts behind the case method.
2. To understand the types of cases in research.
3. Help the participants with the methodology of case writing.
4. Role of protagonist while writing the case.
It was an overall wonderful experience in which faculty members and research scholars got to know various useful aspects related to research. The FDP ended with a Valedictory session followed by a thank you speech by Head PGP, Professor Mayank Kumar Pandey.
"Referencing allows you to acknowledge the contribution of other writers and researchers in your work." Under the banner of Performance Improvement Programme (PIP) GIMS, Greater Noida organized workshop on "Citation & Reverencing using Mendeleyev for PDDM Batch: 2021-23. The major objective of the workshop was to give them hands-on experience on citation & referencing tool "Mendeley". This tool enable us to do in-text citation and generate references across the referencing style.
Resource Person Prof. Mayank Pandey, Head-PGP & Area-Chair (Marketing) highlighted various ways to avoid plagrism during writing research reports.
He emphasized on use of mendeley citation and referencing tool for report writing.
Up-skilling is the new DNA
Skill Augmentation Certification was organised for HR specialisation PGDM final year students on Compensation Management and HR Analytics organised by Abhyuday Club, GIMS in association with HR India Solutions. It was an initiative to provide students with the skill-set required to be become better HR Managers.
The two day Certification program provided insights about technical aspects of compensation & its compliances with pay regulations and the various tools and techniques used for analysing data and implementing them for better functionality of HR practices. The sessions included hands on experience for the students as it included assignment and practical sessions.
Hastag-The Marketing Club GIMS in association with KOAK Education organized Skill Augmentation Certification (SAC) on 'Marketing Analytics' for Marketing specialization students on 7th, 8th and 10th Jan 2022.
Students had hands on experience on analysis and assessment of Measurement Metrics, CLV, Brand value etc.
