Department of Electrical Engineering, GNIOT GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, GREATER NOIDA, is organizing a webinar on "Science and Technology Communication through OTT Platforms" on today from 11 AM to 1:00 PM, for the students of EE dept. Mr. Kapil Kumar Tripathi delivered a lecture on above subject. It supports the organization’s goals to strengthen the ties between experts and the organization. It was coordinated by departmental event coordinator Mr. Aneep Kumar. The webinar was addressed by Director GNIOT (Engg. Institute). Dean Academics motivated students of EE and appreciated the EE dept. for such events. This webinar was very informative and interactive for the students and will help them in using OTT Platforms effectively. Around 60 students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of EE dept. participated in the event.

*Gniot Institute of Management Studies (GIMS)* conducted its ' *First Outbound Training Program* ' for PGDM students on 30th Dec'20. The program was organized by ' Centre for Career Development (CCD)'.The program incorporated different outbound activities for students like Ice Breaker Games, Rope Twister, Valley of Acid and Survival Exercise .

It was an initiative to enhance leadership, communication skills and performance planning amongst students.

The students showcased their creative skills and exhibited leadership qualities. The program was highly enjoyed and appreciated by the students. It helped students to build better partnerships and alliances amongst each other.

GNIOT Hackathon was started today by organized by GNIOT-Institutions Innovation Council (an Initiative of Ministry of Education) on 28/12/2020. Dr Rajesh Goel (Director, GNIOT) address the participants and enlighten the benefits of Hackathon. Dr. Anuranjan Misra, Dean (R &D) informed the students about Institution Innovation Cell and motivates them to work most on projects. Dr. Shelly Garg,HOD Electronic and communication department and Dr. Alok Manas Dubey , HOD Mechanical Engineering department also encourage the students to participate and wish good luck.

Approx. 250 students from 48 teams have participated in GNIOT Hackathon event. 29 teams participated in software edition and 19 teams in hardware edition based hackathon. Software edition of hackathon is of 3 days while hardware edition is of 30 days. An AICTE-IKS workshop was organised by GNIOT- Institutions Innovation Council (An Initiative of Ministry of Education) on 24/12/2020 from 11 AM to 4:30PM. Dr. Rajesh Goel (Director, GNIOT) enlightens the benefits of the AICTE-IKS website. Dr. Anuranjan Misra (Dean Research & Development) motivates faculty members to do fill their research work on AICTE-IKS website so that their work got recognition and their work can be useful for our country and he had given demonstration how to fill their research on AICTE-AKS website. Dr. Anuranjan Misra motivates the faculty members to do research as much as possible. He told them various schemes of Government of India, Companies and international players where they can apply can funds. Workshop was attended by HoDs and faculty members from different departments of the Institute. The objective of this workshop was to motivate the attendees to update their credentials on AICTE-IKS website and apply for funds under various schemes.

Webinar – Power of Radio

GNIOT-MBA Institute under their webinar series hosted a webinar titled “Power of Radio” on 22nd December 2020. The eminent speaker of the webinar was Ms. Barsha Chabaria. Ms. Barsha is North Vice President of Community Radio Association of India.

Dr. Savita Mohan, Director-GNIOT MBA Institute, started the event by welcoming Ms. Barsha Chabaria. Ms. Barsha resumed the session by discussing about her journey when she started her career and the various phases of Radio and how the community radio come up. Then she explained about how the radio can be used for awareness and for welfare of society. She also discussed about various effort which she made for society like Salam Shakti. Ms. Barsha said that radio can also motivate the listeners to do various different things. She also explained about how the students can make their career in radio.

Computer Science department of GNIOT celebrated Kisan Diwas online on MS Team Platform. It's a two-day event and today we had Debate competition and Poster making competition along with singing, dancing and poetries in which our student participated and expressed their views. Dr. Priyanka from MBA department and Mr. Rahul Dev from EC department joined us to judge the debate competition. Dr. Manoj Singhal from IT department and Mrs. Vasudha Tiwari from B.Tech First year joined us to judge Poster making competition. Dean of GNIOT Dr. Dheeraj Gupta, praised the whole event and said that, he has never seen Kisan Diwas being celebrated by the students in his 21 years of teaching career. He even congratulated us for understanding the values of our farmers and celebrating this day. Around 250 peoples joined this event and enjoyed it.

Virtual Industrial Visit – Mother Dairy (17 December 2020) GNIOT-MBA Institute, organized a virtual Industrial Visit of “Mother Dairy” on 17th December 2020. Mr. Renu Pillai, Senior Superintendent – Plant, Ms. Neha Rani, Manager- HR, Mother Dairy and Prof. Nitin, GNIOT (MBA Institute) coordinated the Industrial Visit.

Mr. Renu Pillai started the industrial visit by introducing about the Mother Dairy and also explained about the history of Mother Dairy. He said that Mother Dairy was started in the year 1965 under the umbrella of NDDB.

Mr. Renu also explained about the India economy and said that approx 20% part of economy is from agriculture sector and approx 20% is from dairy sector. Department of Computer Science & Engineering, GNIOT organized a Power Seminar on Big Data Analytics on 17th December 2020 in association with ICT Academy, New Delhi. Expert of the seminar Mr Anuj Tripathi, Director Enterprise Business Development, Affli (India) Ltd. covered the every aspect of Big Data and Analytics. It was attended by around 150 enthusiastic students.

A webinar was organized by Department of MCA in Greater Noida Institute of Technology on 17th December ,2020.

The session was presented by the expert, Dr. ­­­Vinod Kumar Shukla, working as an Associate Professor, Amity University, UAE, Dubai. The topic of the webinar was "Industry 4.0: Health and Safety Challenges".

The guest speaker of the session, Dr. Vinod Kumar Shukla commenced the session by giving an apt statement "We are at the beginning of a revolution that is fundamentally changing the way we live, work and relate to one another" by K. Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, WEF. He discussed about the various technologies used in the Industry 4.0 and the challenges faced by the users. He also gave a detailed description about Web 1.0,Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 by giving suitable examples and explained about several technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things(IOT) and so on. GNIOT Institute of Professional Studies organized 3 days Online Orientation Program on theme “Corporate Expectations & Skills for Aspiring Professionals in the Digital Era” for first year BBA, BCA and B. Com students on 15th Dec to 17th Dec 2020. On the second day of orientation program Director of the Institute Dr. Dileep Singh, gave the Inaugural address and welcomed students. Guest of the program was Mr. Pawan Gupta, AGM, Coromandel International Ltd. He elaborated on corporate world to the students. Second Guest of the day was Mr. Neval Kishor, Manager(Engagement), TCS, Canada. He emphasized on corporate expectations, communication and digital skills. At the end of second day students understood the importance of communication skills and digital skills in practical life. Students are aware about corporate world and expectation of corporate world from students and how to groom themselves. The entire session was fruitful.
