GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, GIMS is organizing FERNWEH- International Immersion Program(IIP) to Singapore for PGDM Batch 2020-22.The tour includes Industrial visit, Sightseeing and University Visit.
IIP would be an opportunity for the students to tacit knowledge, gain higher-level learning and advance their problem- solving skills. The millennials would also experience cultural diversity and will get a chance to connect with people of a different country.
If there is a wonderland on the earth, it is called Universal Studio Singapore, the place where all your wild-child fantasies come true.
Here is a glimpse of the student's visit to Universal Studio Singapore, which has seven theme zones having 24 exhilarating rides and a number of shows.
This unique exposure to such a gigantic theme park will rejuvenate. They will be more curious to explore the international business environment in the coming days of their visit.

The International Immersion Trip to the Global Metropolis Singapore has so far been enlightening alongside being exhilarating, eventful and frantic. The city has enchanted the GIMSians by its century-old architecture, the glitz and glamour of the town to the flavours and fragrances of the city.
The National Conference on Resilience, Reinvention and Rebuilding Towards the New Normal (R3TN2-2022) organized by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies(GIMS), Greater Noida on May 14, 2022 was a grand success with an overwhelming response from the participants. The conference was graced by the presence of the esteemed dignitaries like Prof. (Dr) R. K. Khandal, Ex-VC, AKTU, Lucknow, President R&D and Business Development, India Glycols Ltd. as the Chief Guest, Mr. Upkar Singh, VP-IT as the Keynote Speaker RMSI and Dr. Niraj Gupta, Head- School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi. The guests emphasized upon the need of building a social resilience to make the world a better place to live by developing and nurturing self-sustainability through the philosophy of ‘Janm se Anteshti Tak’ as the root of self-sustainability.
The conference was attended by the academicians, research scholars, researchers and students from 38 universities and colleges across the country from over 16 states and 3 international participations.
Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director- GIMS and Director- Conference, in his Welcome Address, emphasized on the need of the academicians to bridge the gap in rebuilding the New Normal which has digitally remodeled the world post-pandemic. The conference was moderated by Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean-OSW and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. Mayank Kr. Pandey, Head-PGP, the conveners of the Conference. The conference was further attended by Prof. Sudha Pandey and Prof. G. S. Sharma, Secretaries of the Conference, Dr. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Verma and Prof. Mudit Tomar the co-conveners of the conference along with the other faculty and staff members of GIMS, Greater Noida.
R3TN2 brought an opportunity for the assimilation of different theories, ideas and concepts for the academic and industrial pursuits to conceptualize the sustainable practices for The New Normal.

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies organized farewell party “PRAARABDH” on April, 23, 2022 in the Chanakya Block where students of PGDM Ist year bid farewell to the outgoing students of PGDM Batch 2020-22 with great enthusiasm and off course nostalgia.
The event began with a floral welcome of the passing out PGDM batch by juniors. Lamp lighting ceremony was done by all the dignitaries present- Mr. Gaurav Gupta (Vice Chairman, GNIOT Group), Mr. Swadesh Singh (CEO, GIMS), Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Director, GIMS) and various Deans, Directors, HODs of different colleges.
The PGDM Ist Year organized mesmerizing performances based on the RETRO THEME for the day. The students played a video that highlighted the years of camaraderie shared by seniors. Various playful, as well as serious accolades and awards were given out to the seniors by their lovable faculty members. The party also witnessed engrossing performance by Akash Chauhan & Band.
Different tags were awarded to the students, tag of Mr. Farewell, Ms.Farewell, Ms. GIMS and Mr. GIMS.
Finally, the seniors re-lived their bittersweet memories at the college and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to this great institution for being instrumental in shaping their personalities and providing them with stellar opportunities.
Saksham, The Student Welfare Club, GIMS had organized a workshop on 'PARICHAY- Creating your own Road Map to Success' The Resource Person for the workshop was Dr. Ruchi Rayat ( Dean-OSW & Area Chair- OB & HRM)
Students gave presentations on their identified vision, dream job role, academic & individual goals, which were reframed by Dr. Rayat on the basis of their core competencies. Based on final goals, a road map to achieve them was designed.
The workshop will be followed by periodic assessments in future. The goals would be mapped with attainment and if gaps identified, the reasons would be explored and rectified accordingly.
The objective of the workshop was to help the students to have Self- Identification, which is a first step for them towards becoming a brand.

The PIP AatmVishelshan, Self- Analysis: Know Your Psyche and Personality Style", organized on April 6, 2022 at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies(GIMS), Greater Noida, intrigued the participants to look for the way forward in personality enhancement for their career building.
Aatmvishleshan provided the participants, an insight of their personality type using the Big Five Inventory and triggered the need to work on their grey areas and strategize to be a refined resource for the industry. This PIP would prove very fruitful in understanding their personality type as per their job roles in the companies they’ll serve.
“i-analytika” the Information Technology and Business Analytic club of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida, successfully completed its SECOND COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION on 30th March, 2022.
The theme of this competition was "USES OF LATEST INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY". The objective of this competition was to enhance our students’ technical knowledge, encourage them to study the latest technological changes and come up with unique ideas.
The students were divided into different groups and they came up with unique ideas be it evolution of education system, sustainable development, business model of textile, wind energy or cloud computing and IoT. Panel of jury was identified who gave the scores to each group on various parameters related to individual as well as teamwork basis which the winner teams were decided.
Group 4 which beautifully captured the complete functionality of Arogya Setu in their collage was declared as the winner.
We would like to thank our management, Director – Dr. Arun Kumar Singh for their encouragement and the Event Coordinator – Prof. Pradeep Verma (Area Chair – IT & BA) for organizing the event successfully.

The Learning, Engagement and Career Enhancement session by Dr. Shikha Bhardwaj, IIM, Sambalpur and Member- Research Advisory Council, GIMS Greater Noida left the GIMSians enthralled and motivated to build their own brand and "Stand-out from the Rest". The session conducted on March 28, 2022 in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) focussed primarily on the following:
• Making the maximum of social media in building Self-brand
• Being authentic and being original
• Building teams to build research.
• Focussing on the research areas relevant to one’s profile
• And investing in Self, be it upskilling or research ; “Value your brand to be valued by Others”.

Nutan, The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Club of GIMS in association with Institute's Innovation Council had launched NAVAACHAAR - An inter- college competition on Rising Talents to showcase their innovative ideas. The main objective of the competition was to encourage students and sow the seeds of entrepreneurship amongst students.
The competition was launched on 25th January’22 and open to all students of the various colleges at PAN India level. Around 105 entries were received from different states of India which were pre-screened and the best 10 ideas were shortlisted for the final presentation. The students presented their ideas along with the marketing strategy, financial viability and market opportunity. The Finale of Navaachar was held on virtual platform on 26th March’22.
The first place – prize money of Rs 5000 was bagged by Yash Shaw & Team from Symbiosis Skills and Professional University for their business idea on Stress Shut-An APP which will identify the stress levels of an individual and will book doctors appointment. The second prize – a sum of Rs.2500/- was bagged by Gopal Krishna & Team, students of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies for their idea on Pristha App which dealt in waste Management.
The event would not have been a success without the guidance and mentorship of Dr Arun Kumar Singh, Director (GIMS) . He has always been a driving force for the students impelling them to experiment and excel in all the spheres of life.
